Becoming a Champion is the first step to becoming a Grand Champion. To be a Champion the cat must win six Winners Ribbons in competition in the Championship Class. Essentially, this means the six different judges have looked at the cat and determined that it meets the breed's standard.

Then, the Champion cats compete for points to become a Grand Champion. Two hundred (200) points are needed to become a Grand Champion. Basically, the cat receives a point for every other cat it defeats in competition.

Becoming a Premier is the first step to becoming a Grand Premier. To be a Premier the cat must win six Winners Ribbons in competition in the Premiership Class (neuters and spays). Essentially, this means the six different judges have looked at the cat and determined that it meets the breed's standard.

Then, the Premier cats compete for points to become a Grand Premier. Seventy-five (75) points are needed to become a Grand Premier. Basically, the cat receives a point for every other cat it defeats in competition.
